Darul Uloom Port
Elizabeth
1 August 2002 PORT ELIZABETH DARUL-ULOOM PROJECT Respected Brother-in-Islam: Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah Through the Grace and Mercy of Almighty Allah, our Darul-Uloom project (photos), the first of its kind in the Eastern Cape, is underway and the classrooms are already roof-height. You will appreciate that as work progresses, there is an automatic increase in expenditure, thus necessitating the need for more funds. Money is required to purchase windows, doors, roofing material, plumbing and electrical equipment, etc. We have obtained quotes on these items, and these quotes are available on request. This letter is an earnest and urgent appeal for donations towards this Deeni project. Remember that contribution to ta’leem of Deen is a great form of sadaqa jaariya. When one contributes towards a madresa, such a person receives the reward of every student who studies there and goes out later to propagate the Deen of Islam. The rewards, therefore, are tremendous and monumental, Insha-Allah. Any amount of money invested in this avenue, if done with sincerity, will certainly be accepted by Allah. Secure the great rewards of the Akhirat by participating in this wonderful and everlasting "off shore" investment. At this juncture I would also like to point out that our madresa has been in existence since the early 1970's. As far as teaching and education is concerned, this is not a venture that is just beginning now. Alhamdu-lillah, our classes were in progress for all these years, and, through the sheer Bounty of Allah and the Duas of our Ustaads, we managed to produce many Huffaaz and Ulema. Many of our former students are currently engaged in services of Deen in various parts of the South Africa. The only drawback was that we never had hostel and boarding facilities. This project has now afforded us the opportunity to incorporate these facilities into one system and under one roof. It will make our task easier and our teaching more effective, Insha-Allah. We also request your duas for this venture. Enclosed are plans of the proposed project for your perusal. We also welcome people to visit the site at any time and observe the work in progress. The Darul-Uloom site is situated at the top end of Haworthia Drive, which is the main road of Malabar. If you wish to contribute to this worthy cause, you may deposit money directly into our bank account, which is: Malabar Educational Trust, First National Bank, Kempston Road Branch, Code No. 210517, Account No: 53420084386, or you may contact me on 041-4574989; cell: 083-786-5326, or Moulana Nazier Desai on 041-4575252. May Allah reward you in this world and the hereafter – aameen. Jazakumullah for taking out time to read this letter.
I remain, Yours sincerely, (Siraj Desai - Principal) |
