LOCAL NEWS

Darul-Uloom Project - Alhamdu-lillah, our Darul-Uloom project has successfully begun. Through the duas of our elders and local people, progress on the project is steady. Allah has facilitated many things leading up to the start of construction work on the project. The proposed scheme that we are currently building will provide for a Hifz hall (to cater for our hifz classes), about five classrooms for the Arabic students, as well as living quarters and dining facilities for the students. Insha-Allah, we hope this project will fulfill a long-felt need in the Eastern Cape for a madresa of this nature.

ENTHUSIASTIC RESPONSE
What has been very positive and heartening is the enthusiastic response to this venture by our local Muslims. Besides the many small donations that have come in, what is so promising is the number of people who have come forward offering their moral support to this cause. We must offer our heartfelt duas and thanks to all who have participated so far, as well as those who will do so in the future, Insha-Allah. Such people will receive the reward of any Hafiz or Alim who graduates from this madresa, as well as the reward of those whom he will teach in the future, and so forth. The rewards, therefore, are limitless. Remember, sincerity is what counts, not the amount of money invested in this Deeni project.

An interesting fact to note here is that, the bulk of money spent on the project so far, has been raised from our Muslims in Port Elizabeth. We request everyone to make special dua for the success of this project.

For those wishing to contribute towards building costs in cash or in kind, kindly contact the co-ordinators of the project, Moulana Nazier Desai sahib on (041) 457-5252, or Hafiz Hasan Desai on (041) 457-3482.
