ISLAMIC WORLD NEWS NEWS SNIPPETS Madaris and mosques are seats of learning Gujranwala: Sheikh ul Hadees Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Sarfraz Khan has said that the government of Pakistan on the instigation of foreign powers wants to put a ban on the sovereignty and integrity of Madaris. “The integrity and sovereignty of the madaris is essentially important for the survival of Islamic Culture and Civilization. Those who are striving for the survival of mosques and madaris are in fact waging a jihad,” said Maulana Sarfraz while talking to a representative of daily “Islam”. Mosque and madaris are seats of learning and if all the evil powers unite together even then they cannot eliminate the religious schools, he said adding the more you oppose them further they will grow. Maulana Sarfraz said that our government must not take dictation from the US but rather tell them that these madaris are spreading knowledge in a peaceful atmosphere. These institutions neither teach terrorism nor extremism, but in a real sense, civilize men and play a vital role in spreading and propagating the teachings of Islam, he said. Maulana Sarfraz paid rich attributes to Maulana Muhammad Azam Tariq for rejecting the government’s offer to go into exile. He also appreciated the efforts of daily “Islam” - a foremost and fast growing Islamic newspaper of the country - for giving news coverage based on facts and truth. Maulana Sarfraz said Almighty Allah will help the leader of Majilis if they move collectively. He appealed to people to extend all their support to strengthen the new party. Jamiat Ulama Hind warns Indian govt about madaris New Delhi: The president of Jamiat Ulama Hind Maulana Sayed Asad Madni has asked the Indian government not to interfere into the affairs of religious madaris but said he has no objection over the aid that government want to give for the betterment of the seminaries. He was part of a group of Jamiat Ulama Hind that called on the chief minister of New Delhi Sheela Dixit the other day. The team expressed its concern over the introduction of syllabus prepared by the government. The delegation handed a memorandum about madaris and syllabus to the chief minister. Mr Dixit assured the delegation that government has no plans to interfere into the affairs of madaris and added that government would not take steps against any minorities. Maulana Madni said government must open good schools in Muslim areas if it is serious in the education and development of Muslims. Interest-based system Karachi: President of Jami’ah Darul Uloom Karachi, Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani, said that whenever Muslims fell victim to internal strife and discord, bribery and unfair means became rampant among them, then Allah Ta’ala gave their enemies control and an upper hand over them. “Muslims never faced defeat due to lack of men and material resources. Instead, they always faced defeat due to internal strife and treachery. Today, we have adopted an Interest-based system. Bribery and inefficiency have become ugly scares on our forehead, therefore, Allah has given control to anti-Islam powers over us, and we are forced to accept their every order. It is the need of the time to recognise our enemies and run the systems in accordance with the laws of Allah Ta’ala in order for us to obtain His help. We should use all our efforts to abolish the curse of interest from our economy”, he urged. Father, son embrace Islam after deserting Qadyaniyyah Chenabnagar, Pakistan: A father and son in central Punjab's Chenabnagar city embraced Islam following calls from renowned scholar Maulana Aziz-ur-Rahman Jallundhari. Both the persons converted to Islam during the Friday congregations in the city's Jama mosque. In their initial statements, the newly-embraced Muslims stated Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and reposed their utmost confidence on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihe wasallam), saying Qadiyaniyyah is nothing but a pool of lies and fallacy. People welcomed the decision of both the persons and prayed for the strengthening of their Muslim belief. "O Allah! Grant them and other people the strength required to save Islam from false gods, and also grant other Qadyanis the vision to accept Islam," the faithful supplicated. |
